Good morning Whitefish Mountain Resort fans! Parker here with your latest Snow Report RSS feed on 10-18-2007 at 05:07PM. At the Summit there are 10 new inches of snow in the last 24hrs. There are 0 new inches of fresh, untracked snow since the lifts closed yesterday afternoon. In the Village area there are 0 new inches of snow in the last 24hrs. There are 0 new inches of fresh, untracked snow since the lifts closed yesterday afternoon. We have a settled base of 88" inches at the Summit and 0" inches in the Village. The mid-mountain settled base at the top of Chair 2 is 0" inches. It is currently 45F at the Summit and 35F in the Village. We have received a season total of 282" inches at the Summit and 169" inches in the Village. Here are my deep thoughts for this report, "Howdy folks! Just wanted to chime in to say that I'm looking out my office window right now and seeing some rather fat looking snow flakes! The fever is starting already! We've had a couple dustings here and there, but nothing too significant yet, but everyone is starting to get in the mood for the new season.

The progress on the road has been pretty darn good lately and we've been told that they are still on target for a scheduled completion unless the weather turns south on them. It's amazing to see the new road take shape and it will be such a joy when completed... you should see the beautiful guardrails they are putting in!!

They are currently stringing the new Chair 1 (affectionately named Big Mountain Express) as I type this and will be load testing soon. The towers for the new Chair 2 (Swift Creek Express) went in on Tuesday and that should be completed in time for opening as well. Very exciting! I predict the chalet deck is going to be the lively place to people watch and kick back for a drink this season.

More later so stay tuned! If you haven't already, go and sign up for an RSS feed to these reports on our feeds page."
